In the role of the Supply Chain Project Manager you will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver projects according to plan. You will communicate regularly with client senior management and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Directing and managing projects from beginning to end.
- Defining/delivering project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and clients.
- Developing/managing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and clients in a timely and clear fashion.
- Liaising with clients on an ongoing basis.
- Estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Determining and assessing need for additional consultants
- Setting and continually managing project expectations with team members.
- Reviewing the project team’s work in detail on a regular basis.
- Delegating tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path.
- Planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Tracking project milestones and deliverables.
- Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Proactively managing changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Collaborate with client to define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Coaching, mentoring, motivating and supervising project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Building, developing, and growing any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Conducting project post mortems and creating a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Developing best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Education, Certifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Operations fields.
- Experience implementing and managing ERP projects.
- Minimum 5 years direct work experience in project work and management, including all aspects of process development and execution.
- Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
- Flexible during times of change.
- Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
- Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
- Ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise.
