Job Summary
The Business Consultant’s primary responsibility is to perform consulting services for Microsoft Dynamics NAV customers. A Dynamics NAV (Navision) Implementation Consultant will be focused on the delivery and implementation of Microsoft’s NAV ERP solution. 

As part of our Professional Services team, you would be involved in a large number of projects spanning both the existing client base as well as new business implementations. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform business requirements analysis and design
  • Perform gap analysis between Navision functionality and client’s requirements
  • Lead project teams through design workshops and CRP environments
  • Identify and recommend product customizations, enhancements or work-arounds to meet client requirements
  • Train users on new process and Navision
  • Develop data conversion and testing strategies
  • Manage individual budget and scope of work
  • Perform Navision demonstrations
  • Provide pre-go-live and post-go-live end-user support

Education, Certifications and Experience:

  • 4-year degree in business, Accounting, MIS or equivalent; CPA a Plus
  • 3+ years’ experience functional experience in implementing Microsoft Navision required. Experience with Role Tailor Client or NAV 2009.
  • Should have at least 3 years of experience working with C/AL and C/Side v4.0 or higher and developing applications for Dynamics NAV
  • Functional knowledge of the finance, distribution, and production granules; Other module knowledge such as CRM, Projects, MRP, Shop Floor is a plus
  • Experience with core business processes such as Accounting, Distribution and Manufacturing
  • Minimum 5-years hands-on experience with full life-cycle implementations
  • Experience with SQL, .NET, Visual Studio,Lanham software a plus. More specifically, you will write and maintain program code or modify existing programs to customize software to users’ needs and will assist in developing and implementing system testing and debugging program errors, as well as consult with clients to ensure customization goals are met. In addition, candidate must support clients as necessary. Implementation experience is helpful.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing best practices, principles and procedures as related to mid-to-large scale business processes
  • Demonstrable knowledge of applying the following NAV functional areas to business processes:
    -        Item Master
    -        Bill of Materials
    -        Customers
    -        Sales Orders/Return Orders
    -        Picking Routes
    -        Shipments
    -        Vendors
    -        Purchase Orders
    -        Purchase Requisition
  • Ability to understand, communicate, and interpret client business processes and requirements
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative atmosphere
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple demands
  • Proven ability to write effective system and process documentation – including business and system requirements, process diagrams, and data flow charts
  • Fluent in English – both written and verbal – mandatory
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with little supervision
